Most visitors will take a tour in a boat at some point during their stay. By far the most common way to see the islands and do some snorkeling will be on a tour by motorized boat that will take you on a full-day trip for about $20-$25 per person. A very worthwhile upgrade would be to take the full-day snorkeling tour on a catamaran where you will have room to stretch out and lie around for $45 per person.
The deck of a boat is not the only way to see the islands though. Do not forget about all of the other tours offered in the islands. You can fly through the jungle canopy on the zipline tour at Red Frog Beach, hike the jungles from Old Bank or Salt Creek, or ride horses on the beaches of Isla Colon or through the forest on Isla Solarte. You can discover indigenous communities and learn how they make organic chocolate, traditional crafts, or local dishes. You can also fish, surf, and scuba dive to your heart’s content. This is of course, without mentioning just laying out on some beautiful Caribbean beaches. Explore the tours section of this website for more information on some of these option.
